Club Support & Development and Membership
Youth Clubs Hampshire & Isle of Wight support youth clubs, groups and projects working primarily with groups of young people aged 8-21.
Our role is to enable and assist our members in delivering the highest quality of service to the young people they work with. We do this by using a variety of different methods and approaches and offering a range of services which include:

Club Visit Workshops: including juggling & circus skills, initiative challenges and healthy lifestyles to help you provide a varied and interesting program of fun activities for young people. Events Programme: including events such as Survivor Challenge and The Beach Party which offer a chance to get together with other groups, share experiences and make new friends. View our Events Programme.
Accrediting Young People’s Work: support in running Youth Achievement Awards and Youth Challenge Awards which provide young people with a national qualification recognising their hard work. To find out more about Youth Achievement Awards by visiting the UK Youth website.
Support: reflecting our commitment to best practise and high quality youth work and helping to ensure young people are provided with the high level of service they deserve we provide support, advice and information about all aspects of youth work in person, on the phone and by email

Newsletters: you will regularly receive our newsletter with details of forthcoming events, sector updates and other relevant news and information
Training : access to a highly affordable range of training sessions including Child Protection, Risk Assessment and Games as a Way of Engaging with Young People designed to offer practical ideas and solutions to the work you do with young people. Active Citizenship Project: working with you to re-engage young people with their communities using a wide variety of approach and activities including peer education, personal and social education and young leader training. Download our In 2 Action leaflet here.
Choices: delivered in partnership with the Phoenix Theatre Company a chance to explore bullying and related issues through a drama based workshop
Momentum: pre-learner driver and pre-learner motorcyclist road safety and awareness courses for young people that give them a head start at keeping safe on our dangerous roads.
Drumming Workshops: delivered in partnership with Drum 4 Fun enjoy subsidised access to these lively drumming workshops that area great fun for everyone.

How to Become a Member
Organisations that want to affiliate to Youth Clubs Hampshire and Isle of Wight are asked to complete a membership form. We ask you to provide details about the work you do with young people and to tell us that support you think we can provide you with. We also ask you to provide evidence of safe working practises being implemented by sending us copies of some of your policies.
We are always happy to help if you have any questions about affiliation or about completing the form. We also provide help with putting together policies and procedures for those who need it.
